Marcus Shakesheff

JISC Registered Equity Stunt Coordinator, Fight Coordinator, Stunt Performer and Equity Spotlight Actor. 

 

Working on some of the biggest budget productions in movie history, Marcus Shakesheff has played the ‘Hashisheen’ in “Sherlock Holmes - Game of Shadows” for Guy Richie and stunt doubled for “Martin Freeman” for “Sherlock”, “Christoph Waltz” for “The legend of Tarzan”, “Kiefer Sutherland” for “24 Live another day” and “Kit Harrington” for “Game of Thrones”. 

In 2018 Marcus won the ‘Taurus World Stunt Award’ for best ‘Stunt Coordinator’ for his work on “Wonder Woman”. Marcus was also nominated in ‘Best Fight’ category as fight coordinator on “American Assassin” alongside “Wonder Woman”. 

 

Marcus has worked alongside some of the world’s most talented and successful Directors, 2nd Unit Directors and Stunt Coordinators and has had the opportunity to learn and gain a wealth of knowledge and experience from some of the very best in the film and TV industry. 

Marcus is an ex-semi-professional fighter, competing in full contact Bare Knuckle Karate, Thai boxing and also competing as an ex-amateur boxer as well as competing in MMA for a short period of time. Marcus has won multiple regional and national titles, winning the Welsh, English and European open full contact competitions.

Marcus started his career as an actor playing small parts to lead roles in various productions. Marcus established him self in acting roles that were action based so Marcus then made the transition to stunt work as well after landing the role as “Batman” in the highly successful game series “Batman Arkham Asylum”.
